It all started back in 1977, when one of the most prominent film franchises of all-time, Star Wars, hit theaters all across the globe, and instantly became a worldwide culture phenomenon. The first film in the series, A New Hope (1977), would ultimately be followed by two very successful sequels in The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983). These three films form the original Star Wars trilogy, and are widely regarded as three of the best movies in the entire series.
