The process of building a home theater room for the ultimate movie experience is largely going to be driven by the dimensions of your room unless you literally have no space restrictions or are building from scratch. On almost each and every call we receive, the first question is always ‘How many seats can I fit in this space?’.
Luckily we have a few excellent space saver seating solutions that we recommend which represent seats that are optimized to be able to fit as many chairs horizontally as possible, without sacrificing comfort and support. What exactly do we mean when we say this?
In home theater seating, space savers have the width of the armrests reduced so that they are not as thick. With a typical armrest being 7 inches thick, this can be reduced by 4 inches on each armrest which thereby results in a savings of 4’ x 5 armrests for a row of 4 seats = 20 inches. Diesel XS950
If you are looking for a premium seat that his mid-market priced and is loaded with features then consider the Octane Diesel XS950. The Diesel is well-established and battle-tested because it has been in our assortment now for nearly 5 years and shows no signs of slowing down. The armrests are slim but not too slim. The seat back is a respectable 43 inches which means its excellent for taller people too and also offers superior head and upper back support.
The interior seat cushion is made with pocket coil springs and memory foam so you are sitting in premium comfort. This luxurious space saver is available in black and brown leather, as straight or curved rows, for immediate shipment under our quick ship program. It also can be ordered in a wide range of colors and material types under the My Octane Program. Cloud XS850
The Cloud XS850 is a winning new space saver that offers modern lines and a very attractive price tag. The Cloud has a classic grey trim on the stock version, that runs up the arm and along the seat back giving the side and profile a distinguished appearance. Like all the Octane seating models, this chair also includes the accessory dock in the front armrests to accommodate tray tables, wine glass holders, reading lights and more.
Bolt XS400
The Octane Bolt XS400 like the Diesel is well established in the market and loved by thousands of customers over years of everyday use. This space saver also offers thinner armrests along with a vertical split in the seatback that delivers superior back support. The Bolt includes the accessory dock for the full range of Octane accessories, as well as pocket coils and memory foam in the seat cushion.
This space saver chair is very often referred to as our most comfortable seat. The XS400 is only available in black leather – bonded and top grain – and in manual and power options under our quick ship program. It can be ordered in many colors and covers as part of the My Octane custom order program. The quick-ship versions of the Bolt are now in stock in straight and curved rows. Straight rows should be used when space is limited because they take up a smaller footprint than curved rows. Approximately two-thirds of all our seating is sold in straight vs curved layouts.
Charger XS300
The Charger xs300 is an excellent value priced option for somebody wanting to buy theater seats but not break the bank. Every premium interior construction feature on some of the more luxurious chairs exists inside this space-saving reclining chair. The style is transitional and includes a plush seat back with pocket coils in the seat cushion for support. The XS300 also includes the aluminum tube in the front armrest called the accessory dock. This dock allows one to mount the full range of exciting Octane accessories like popcorn holders, trays, lights and a lot more.
The Charger only comes in manual recline in black bonded leather under the quick ship program but is available in all colors and all upholstery options (top grain leather included) under the My Octane program.
